Tours of Singapore
Get under the skin of this great city...
Our enthusiastic Tours Team organise a variety of tours throughout the year for the enjoyment of members and their house guests. Non–members welcome – space allowing.
The Tours Team is hot on the case to deliver traditional and contemporary coach and walking tours of interesting and eclectic places in Singapore – whether that be based on public festivities here in Singapore or as a 'peek' into other sides of Singapore-life.
Traditional tours like Chinese New Year, Black & White Houses, Little India, and Malay Heritage feature alongside the more unusual – such as a 'behind the scenes' look at Parliament, organic farming in the Kranji countryside, reef spotting at Chek Jawa, mystery food trails and the traditions of Chinese tea ceremonies.
We offer 2–4 tours per month and with between 10-30 people on a tour, we find this is also a great way to make friends. Sign up for a tour today!

Tours Registration and General Information
Thank you for your interest in our Tours. We are proud of the number and variety of Tours we provide and hope you will enjoy them. Please help us by noting the following points.
Tips for Booking a Tour
- Try to book as early as possible – many tours fill quickly.
- Please complete the booking form in full and return – include your membership number and contact details (mobile number and email)
- Cheques should be made payable to BAoS and a separate cheque for each tour. Please write the Tour Name and Tour Date on the reverse of the cheque. Cross it and put a line through 'Or Bearer'.
- To operate as fair a system as possible, we cannot accept reservations by phone or e–mail – places are allocated on a first–come, first–served basis when we receive your booking forms with payment.
- Please send one booking slip and cheque for each tour and send to the appropriate Tour Coordinator.
- An e–mail will be sent as soon as possible after receipt of your payment which represents confirmation of your place on the tour.
Fees are not refundable unless we can fill your place from the waiting list in advance – in which case we will destroy your cheque.
Etiquette
Please dress accordingly e.g. covered shoulders and knees for tours which include a temple visit (many do) – we often provide guidance in the tour description. It's a good idea to bring a small bottle of water with you. Please be on time.
Finally
Have a great time. If you have any feedback on how we could improve a tour or have any ideas for new tours please contact us.
